Pizza Fractions!

Learn fractions one slice at a time

Learn Fractions the Fun Way

Pizza Fractions is a free online fraction game for kids ages 5–12. Instead of worksheets, kids learn by doing — naming the fraction a pizza shows, building fractions slice by slice, and comparing two pizzas to decide which fraction is bigger. Every wrong answer becomes a gentle teaching moment, never a failure.

Three ways to play

  • Name That Slice — see a pizza and identify the fraction it shows. Builds fraction recognition.
  • Pizza Builder — given a fraction like 3/4, tap slices to build it. Hands-on practice with numerators and denominators.
  • Which is Bigger? — compare two pizzas side by side. Builds fraction comparison and number sense.

What kids learn

Six difficulty levels scaffold from the fractions kids meet first to trickier mixed denominators — the same progression taught in elementary school math (grades K–5):

  • Halves and fourths (1/2, 1/4, 3/4)
  • Thirds (1/3, 2/3)
  • Sixths and eighths (5/6, 3/8, 7/8)
  • Mixed denominators, including fifths

A built-in practice engine notices which fractions a child finds hard and brings them back more often, so practice time goes where it's needed.
